Let's keep it simple on natural born. Article II, Section I, Para. 6. The president shall be a natural born citizen.
Of late, a lot of controversy has surrounded the meaning of this clause in the Constitution. Barack Obama, Ted Cruz, and John McCain have got the pot boiling. Many believe that Obama was not born in the United States. We know that Ted Cruz was born in Canada, and John McCain in Panama and I'm sure many others who would like to become President fit into this category as well. So, let's make it simple.
By whatever means necessary (Amendment, etc.) let's do it, at least in part, the Jewish way. First. The Jewish way. It is not always a sure thing who the father is but we certainly know the mother, therefore the mother must be an American citizen. Second. The candidate must be born on American soil. No exceptions. Not a territory, simple one of the fifty states. Third. A certified, witnessed, and official birth certificate must be presented.
Problem solved.

THE EAGLE NEEDS HEALTHCARE
While plowing through some old papers in boxes removed from my mother-in-law's attic my wife came across an insurance company payment that itemized the reimbursement for a bill my father-in-law received for services rendered. The year was 1950. The payment stated $4.50 for one day in the hospital and $4.00 for operating room expenses. Total $8.50. Now if the payment was 80% of the actual bill, which is standard, then the hospital charge would have been $10.63. That same year a loaf of bread was fifteen cents ( $0.15).
Let's do some calculations.
Today in some stores we can get bread for $1.50 a loaf. That's 900% increase. A night in the hospital with operating room expenses will cost at least $5000 not counting doctor's fees. That is 46,937% increase. Let me say it another way. Fifty Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty Four Percent.
If those statistics aren't bad enough we have an out of control congress and a president who doesn't know his butt from a base fiddle. Throw in a Supreme Court that has members who can't spell constitution let alone understand what it means, and you end up with Obamacare that will make the 46,937% look like a good deal.
If you aren't old enough to remember the good times then it is probably easier for you. For the rest of us it is painful to witness the destruction of our country.
So, maybe the truth is, it's not the folks that need healthcare it's the Eagle.

MY FEMININE SIDE
I've always resisted the touchy feely movement of the sixties when men were told to reach deeply into themselves and get in touch with their feminine side. Now don't misunderstand, I can make formula, change a diaper or feel for the downtrodden with the best of them, but not in a "ahh" slobbering gooshy way. The same goes for chic flix where nothing can be accomplished without at least a gallon of tears. However, the other day I think I found my feminine side.
While watching a documentary about our founding era I found myself becoming saddened at , not what I was watching, but rather at what our country has become.
The founders pledged their "lives, fortunes and sacred honor" to forge out of tyranny the greatest county the world had ever seen and is likely to ever see. What, I am sure, they never expected was for this great endeavor to become what we have today. As I watched the screen I realized I was no longer engaged in what the commentator was saying, rather I was looking blankly at the TV and reflecting on my youth and the overwhelming pride I had when I thought of one day serving my country.
So, in my reflections I had to ask, where is the pledge to sacrifice, if necessary, our lives? Where is the willingness to give our money to a just cause or risk it in the fight for freedom? Where is our sacred honor?
We have in Barack Obama a man with no honor and no interest in the real America, a congress that is clueless and an electorate that can't discern the truth from a con job. The founders would revolt and another revolution would ensue.
A revolution with arms is not advisable, however, a revolution at the voting booth is essential.

DON'T LIKE AMERICA? YOU'RE GETTING YOUR WISH.
No photo ID, disenfranchised voters, extended voting hours, early voting, motor voting, preregistration, same day/registration/voting, voter taxies (cabs), online voting and possibly other ways of casting votes are a few of the ways to get the coveted votes needed to win an election. Sadly the norm. What ever happened to information about candidates and issues?
There was a time known to some of us when voting was restricted to the literate and medium to high information voters. A literacy test was even given to some of us old geezers. I recall having to read the Preamble to the Constitution before I was allowed to register. I did not have to read it for I was required to memorize it in school, however I read it for the exercise. I don't recall a poll tax. I didn't own land so that aspect had gone by the way side, and well it should have. Today with all of the restrictions removed, voting has slowly become the domain of the ignorant masses with large hands turned upward to receive all the handouts we the workers and tax payer can dole out.
We are living in a time of rampant ignorance in most things other than technology. Dignity and morality are all but gone in our crass society. Speech, except for the slick con artist has become grunts of the gula and unintelligible sounds, especially from our youth. A classless society that hardly knows the difference between a coat and tie and a load of bricks, or a dress from a piston in a motor, has shanghaied our society. Four letter words that were considered classless sixty years ago are as common as the proverbial fleas on a dog's back, and often used from the pulpit in our so-called modern churches. But I digress. Back to voting.
The masses are ignorant and as long as we keep them that way we will never have a great America again. The solution...........
A few decades ago the Southern Baptist Seminaries were slowing being taken over by liberals who thought these institutions were living in the stone age. It took a group of brave and determined Christian Baptists to rise up and take back the Universities. The same must be done with our America.
Our universities must be controlled, not by radical liberals or conservatives but by those who will allow for honest debates and thoughtful dialogue. Our government schools (K-12) must be controlled by motivated parents not by school boards and bureaucrats.
Education and courage must be the key to the restoration of America and Political Correctness must be destroyed with information and common sense.
I paraphrase in the most ineloquent way a compilations of our founders words. If you modern jerks think the country we founded will survive with the asinine methods you are employing you are as dumb as a stump full of skunk carcasses and don't deserve anything better than the socialism you are creating.

I'M ALIVE AND THE SUN IS STILL SHINING
I woke this morning a few hours after the government meltdown began and found that the sun was shining, the electricity worked, my dogs were still driving me crazy with their barking and God was still on his throne. Wow, how could that be. Congress said we could not survive.
I don't like or trust Washington bureaucracy or the minions that run it, however I must remember those who are elected to the positions of President, House, and Senate did not put themselves in office, we did. So, realistically we are to blame. Therefore, we must ask ourselves how did it happen? Simple. We the people have stood by, often with ourselves as enablers, allowed the dumbing down of America.
A recent poll showed when given the equivalent of the N-400 immigration test only 25% of Americans passed it . Sad, very sad. My Autistic Daughter made 90%.
We as conservatives ring our hands and complain about the dumb and dumbers in Washington but do little to replace them. It's easy to curse the rain while getting our butts soaked instead of looking for shelter. Someone once said "politicians are like dirty diapers and should be changed often and for the same reason."
So the meltdown has begun and some will be hurt I suppose, but surely far more will be hurt by Obamacare.
So, what to do? How about this. We can have our own meltdown. Let's take the political arena as a pile of scrape lead, have our own meltdown and remold Washington starting with our own Hagan next year and Burr two years later and remold the entire political circus so it looks like the Constitution and disallow any power seeking thug to do it his or her way.
